Chester-le-Street Athletics Club was formed in 1977 by Kenneth Wright, Bob & John Tinkler and Derek Reay who had previously been members of Elswick Harriers. Since that time it has provided opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in athletics and compete in local, regional and national competitions.

All coaches are volunteers who hold UK Athletics coaching qualifications and have undergone the required DBS checks.

We train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30pm at the Riverside Sports Complex - the track is found adjacent to the Emirates Durham Cricket Ground in Chester-le-Street.
